"If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing." ~Zimbabwean Proverb
All students should have the chance to experience, participate in, and enjoy music. Welcome to a place for all students to joyfully engage in music through song, movement, listening, and play.
Although we love to play, it is all for the sake of LEARNING! We are learning to be a part of something larger than ourselves through singing in groups, joining our voices with one another. We are learning how to understand, identify, and use the rhythms that are a part of our everyday language. We are learning how to listen with purpose and a discerning ear. We are learning how to move confidently, appropriately, and artfully to music. We are learning how to create! Through all of the songs we sing and music we make, we also learn about the rest of the world... history, culture, language, mathematical subdivisions, and the science of sound. There is so much we can get from one little class!

The neuroscience of singing shows that when we sing our neurotransmitters connect in new and different ways. It fires up the right temporal lobe of our brain, releasing endorphins that make us smarter, healthier, happier and more creative. When we sing with other people this effect is amplified. - https://upliftconnect.com/neuroscience-of-singing/
